Quiz: How Much Do You Know About the Wheel of Time?
Are You A WoT Fan?
How much do you know about the Wheel of Time?
The Wheel of Time (WoT) is a fantasy book series written by Robert Jordan. My husband got me interested in the book series right around the time that we first met, and I was hooked pretty quickly. (Prior to that I wasn't into the Fantasy genre).
Robert Jordan (whose real name is James Oliver Rigney) currently has 13 books out. Unfortunately he passed away before the 12th book came out. RJ (as he is fondly referred to by his fans) has known the ending of the book series since its inception. He kept it a secret right up until the end, in which he told the ending to his beloved wife Harriet, and dictated his planned plot details to his staff.
His wife found a writer who was also a big fan of RJ's series, Brandon Sanderson, who would complete the work for him. Admittedly, hubby and I were worried that the books wouldn't have the same "feel" to them without RJ writing them, but to our surprise THEY DO! These last two books that came out have been amazing - I think RJ would be proud!

Not Just Any Old Fantasy Series
I have my husband to thank for introducing me to the Wheel of Time series. At that time I had never willingly picked up a Fantasy novel, and I had some reservations about starting it. Am I glad that I did!
I've read several other Fantasy novels since then, and they just don't quite compare to WoT in my mind. So whether you're a Fantasy fan or not, I encourage you to try the series if you're sitting there wondering what the heck I'm talking about.
Did you take the quiz? How did you do? Did you learn something fun? Sure you did.

Don't forget these!
The Gathering Storm is the newest book in the Wheel of Time series. In case you hadn't heard, Robert Jordan passed away before he was able to complete the series. He told his staff the ending that he had envisioned (he has always said that he knew the ending from the beginning). Book 12 was completed by Brandon Sanderson who was handpicked by Robert Jordan's wife, Harriet.
New Spring is a prequel to the series, though it will make more sense if you are familiar with at least the original book. Robert Jordan had several more prequels planned, which hopefully Brandon Sanderson will take over.
I'd love to hear any comments that you have! Have you read the series? If not, have I peaked your interest enough to check it out?
